Is "frogging" an expletive?
I was sitting knitting my Very Terhi mitts (with the lifeline safely in place) last night and I paused for a moment and tried them on (as you do). Very pretty, not completely convinced that the thumb gusset was the way it should be, but not bad, considering.
As you know I was knitting these as an experiment to see if one skein of Clan would be enough to knit a pair of them. And as I looked at my hand I realised that experiments are all very well, but really, one pattern repeat before the division for the thumb was really cutting things to the bone and that since I have plenty of Clan and the yarn is a repeatable colourway maybe I should throw caution to the wind and knit a full length pair.
I considered the options.
- Keep going and have little more than wristlets with a thumb.\
- Pull them back to the lifeline and then try to frog back and pick up the stitches before the thumb division.
- Ditto 2 but with added tinking.
- Frog the lot and start again.
What do you think I did?
On a different subject, I stumbled across this website last week. Is this an issue in the USA?
I wonder if Gordon or David or Nick would hang out their smalls at Number 10...
And lastly, Gromit is 20. And if Wallace is 20 as well I think he needs to use some lanolin based cream to soothe his complexion, al those nocturnal adventures involving sheep and allotments are not helping at all.
